Lone Star Gravity Series 2026

1. Course Adherence

• Stay on Designated Path: All riders are required to stick to the marked trail and course indicators. Straying from the established route will result in disqualification.

2. No Rolling Starts

• Equitable Start: Participants must come to a complete stop at the starting line before commencing the stage, irrespective of the pedal type used. Rolling starts may cause timing to fail resulting in a “no time” on the stage. 

3. Outside Support

• Prohibited Assistance: Help from non-participants, family members, friends, or unapproved pit stops is forbidden. However, riders are encouraged to extend assistance to fellow competitors on the course.

4. Equipment Consistency

• Uniform Gear Requirement: The bike and equipment used at the race's beginning must remain the same throughout its entirety. Only approved repairs, such as tire replacements, are allowed.

5. Re-runs

• Conditions for Re-runs: A re-run is permissible only in cases of impediment to a rider, safety risks, or injury assistance, pending approval from the race organizer. Mechanical failures or rider mistakes do not qualify for a re-run.

6. Shuttle Regulations

• Usage Limitations: Riders may only utilize designated shuttle routes. It is prohibited to shuttle on pedal transition paths.

7. Time Penalties

• Disqualifications: Actions such as cutting the course or receiving outside help, as well as showing disrespect for the land (including littering), will lead to immediate disqualification.

8. Course Modifications

• No Alterations: Changing or modifying the course is strictly prohibited. Any concerns about course features should be reported to the race director with appropriate documentation.

9. Overall Series Scoring

• Scoring System: Competitors must finish at least two races to qualify for the overall ranking. In the event of a tie, rankings will be determined by comparing finishes and additional criteria.
• Team Scoring: Teams must have 3 to 5 participants with at lease one female. Best of three scores count to season standings with one female score per event. 

Points: 1st place - 10 points

2nd place -  8 points

3rd place - 6 points 

4th thru finish - 2 points 

10. Respect for Nature

• Leave No Trace: Adhere to ‘pack it in, pack it out’ principles, showing consideration for fellow racers, wildlife, and the environment.

Additional Information

• Rules are subject to change, and any modifications will be communicated by the race director during the pre-race briefing.
• Any violations of the rules should be reported to the organizer within 30 minutes following the conclusion of the final stage.
